Ryan Dietman

Recruitment Team Lead

One thing Ryan enjoys most about the ever-changing life sciences industry is that there are always new things to learn. Gene therapy is of particular interest to him, as well as anything oncology based. He brings 20 years of overall recruiting experience to The Steely Group with the past 15 years focused on drug development, clinical research, and cGMP operations. His specialties include R&D, Quality, Drug Safety, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Writing, Clinical Research, Data Management, Project/Program Management, Monitors, Medical Case Review, and Biometrics.

“I like the idea of being able to match people in companies and roles that will ultimately help the world be a better place and help patients live better lives,” he says. “I’m not a scientist, but I, too, can make a difference by helping people find their next life-changing opportunity.”

In addition to full lifecycle recruiting, Ryan manages The Steely Group’s Scientific recruiting team. His passion for mentoring and helping others succeed make him a valuable addition to the team.

Ryan joined The Steely Group from Randstad Life Sciences, where he was a Senior Clinical Recruiter and Team Lead for Large Accounts. Prior to that, he was a Division Manager for Staffing Now, Inc. He also served as Branch Manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Ryan holds a degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. Born and raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin, he and his family currently live on a marsh in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, but hopes to one day move to the rolling hills of Tennessee.

When he’s not working, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family; and a menagerie of pets including a golden doodle named August West, lovebird named Luna, and a bearded dragon named Stone (because he looks like a rock).

This self-described small-mouth bass junkie says his favorite fishing spots are in Door County, Wisconsin. He has a penchant for bluegrass music and the Grateful Dead, enjoys hiking around the county pond or Kenosha County Veteran’s Memorial Park, and is a die-hard Packers fan. Go team!
