Lisa Madden

Executive VP, Staffing

Lisa is an inspiring leader and mentor, driven by an inherent desire to help others and make a difference. She is also a devoted systems guru and efficiency expert – her technical prowess, social media and CRM platform expertise, and optimization skills make Lisa a great asset to the team. An advocate for growth and professional development, Lisa brings 20 years of recruiting and business development experience to The Steely Group, and as Executive Vice President of Clinical Staffing, she will oversee the direction and strategy of the Steely recruiting team.

Prior to joining The Steely Group, Lisa enjoyed 12 years in various roles at Randstad, where she was a consistent top producer and annual honoree at the President’s Club. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Staffing for Randstad Life Sciences, where she led recruitment and business development strategy and execution for the Retail, Strategic Accounts and Direct Hire business units, and also managed a large national, high-performing team.

Lisa honed her skills and proactive management style while serving in progressive roles at Delta Pharma, which was acquired by Randstad. During her tenure with Delta/Randstad, Lisa led the design and company-wide integration of their applicant tracking system, built and optimized their clinical database, and launched multiple regions for the company.

An interest in the life sciences is what led Lisa to a career in staffing. While on a pre-med track in college, she landed an internship with Abbott Laboratories and quickly discovered her passion. “If I couldn’t be a doctor,” she says, “I could assist in getting lifesaving and life-changing medicines to patients by sourcing and hiring scientific and clinical professionals for the pharmaceutical industry.”

She spent six years in Talent Acquisition Leadership at Abbott, managing pre-clinical and clinical development recruitment for their Global Pharmaceutical Research and Development (GPRD) division, and won numerous awards for her many achievements.

Lisa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Applied Research from Alverno College and also graduated from the Randstad Blue Chip Advantage executive development program.

In addition to her work, Lisa is passionate about her family, her faith, and her community. She’s a mother of three and a foster parent of two who actively supports causes related to Youth Leadership, Human Trafficking Education, Foster Care, Gifted and Talented Education, and Homelessness Service and Education.

Away from the office, you’ll likely find Lisa, her kids, and three dogs traveling down a country road on their way to the family farm or their next outdoor adventure!
