Founder and President
Julie’s success in the staffing industry spans nearly 30 years. She built her career – and The Steely Group – on a foundation of integrity and service, guided by core personal values of honesty and reliability. Her passion for delivering top-drawer service at lighting speed is legendary, and helped rank The Steely Group #166 on the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing private companies in America.
Julie has been recognized, personally, with numerous awards throughout her career. Most recently, Julie received the Enterprising Women of the Year Award from Enterprising Women Magazine. This award is an annual tribute to the world’s top women entrepreneurs and is widely considered one of the most prestigious recognition programs for women business owners. Nominees must demonstrate that they have fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship, and stand out as leaders in their communities. She was also honored by the Daily Herald Business Ledger with the Influential Women in Business Award.
Prior to launching The Steely Group, Julie held executive roles at Advanced Clinical Services, Delta-Pharma, and Staffing Consultants. She holds a B.A. in Communication from Loyola University.
Outside of her professional life, Julie has been a hospice volunteer for 14 years and the March of Dimes, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and NORD (National Organization for Rare Disorders) are just a few of the organizations she supports.
Away from the office, Julie enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, walking, and traveling to warm places.
