Chicago’s Best and Brightest

July 2017 – The Steely Group was honored to be among 88 companies from the Chicago area to be named one of Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®.

 

The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® is a program of the National Association for Business Resources — an organization that provides the business community with the opportunity to gain recognition, showcase their best practices and demonstrate why they are an ideal place for employees to work.

Best Places to Work in Illinois 2017

May 2017 – The Steely Group was among 75 companies from the city, suburbs and throughout the state to receive the 2017 Best Places to Work in Illinois honor. The Steely Group is ranked #2 out of 29 companies in the Small Companies (15-99 U.S. Employees) category.

 

Now in its 11th year, The Best Places to Work in Illinois program is hosted by the Daily Herald Business Ledger in partnership with the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago, the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Advocacy Council and MRA — The Management Association.

2017 Enterprising Women of the Year

April 2017 – Julie Heneghan, The Steely Group’s Founder and President, has received the 2017 Enterprising Women of the Year Award from Enterprising Women Magazine.

 

This award is an annual tribute to the world’s top women entrepreneurs and is widely considered one of the most prestigious recognition programs for women business owners. Nominees must demonstrate that they have fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship, and stand out as leaders in their communities.

Influential Women in Business

October 2016 – Julie Heneghan, The Steely Group’s Founder and President, was honored to receive the 2016 Influential Women in Business Award. Now in its 19th year, this award is presented to outstanding women executives who excel in business, civic and personal arenas. Julie was one of 18 local executives recognized.

 

The Annual Influential Women in Business Awards are presented in partnership with the National Association of Women Business Owners – Chicago Area Chapter.
